a suggestion for open source software producer people

Here’s a wordpress plugin I’d like to see.

You know how on Biblioblogs there’s this widget some people use so that when they write a Bible reference, say, “Judges 1:3,” it pops up when you hover your mouse over it?  I want something similar.

What if, when you were reading a Hebrew-heavy post, you could hover your mouse over any Hebrew word and see an automatic transliteration.   Wouldn’t that be cool?  Now go make it, you wonderful software producer people!

I’m not sure if there is enough reward for the time spent. For people who don’t know Hebrew, I’m not sure if a transliteration does any good. For those who do know Hebrew, they don’t need a transliteration.

You could ask Logos, they’re the ones that make the most popular one called RefTagger.

You’re probably right. It would be convenient in posts where only a few Hebrew words are discussed, and ‘outsiders,’ so to speak, might just want to be able to keep up with what’s going on through syllables they can sort of hear in their heads instead of just shapes. But the reward is extremely small for that sort of thing. But it would be sort of cool.
