I’m supplementing my Hebrew 101 course with the online FSI course materials. It’s free and in the public domain, which is awesome. The student text, though quite helpful, is an image-based pdf and therefore can’t be conveniently copied or pasted or edited. So, although I don’t have the time to make text-based files of the whole thing at present, I’ve decided to transcribe the dialogues in the text. I’ve taken some liberties with the transcriptions, for example replacing š with ‘sh’ and c with ‘ts’. I’m providing these dialogues free of any requirements for yaw to use. It’s my way of doing a little bit to contribute to the presence of Hebrew materials online, while at the same time reinforcing my work and familiarizing myself with the Hebrew keyboard layout. So with no further ado, here’s the unit 1 dialogue:
