us debt hits new high

The US debt has hit yet another all-time high (it’s growing by about a 100,000,000,000 every three weeks.)  The latest benchmark we’ve crossed is 12,900,000,000,000.00 (that’s 12.9 million million dollars).  That’s $117,532 per taxpayer.  And what’s more, debt is a form of exactly what the original US revolution condemned, taxation without representation, because it levies future taxes on people who had no say in the matter.  I, for example, am a taxpayer who just turned 18 a little over a year ago and inherited over $100,000.00 in debt that I did nothing to rack up.
