The Peshitta Online

Aramaic NT: Peshitta (Unbound Bible) — This is where the Peshitta NT is available on the site of the Unbound Bible.  Just chose “Aramaic NT:  Peshitta” in the “Step 1:  Choose Bible Versions” drop-down bar.  The Aramaic is visible in the web browser as XML.  It has been constructed from the public domain “Peshitta” module available at the SWORD Project website, which has in turn been constructed from no longer extant web files on a web page by one John Richards, which is turn is a digital reprint of the 1905 Syriac Peshitta text published by the British and Foreign Bible Society.

A refutation of some arguments for Aramaic primacy — by yours truly.

Peshitta Website

Peshitta.org — a website, from an Assyrian Orthodox perspective, which also argues for Peshitta primacy.  I found the public domain materials very useful, but the arguments for Aramaic Priority were generally polemic, and I didn’t find anything convincing there.

Not working for me

Peshitta (SWORD) — This is the website link to download the SWORD Project Peshitta module.  Use requires downloading the SWORD Project software here (GNU GPL licensed), and the module appears to only want to install on a 32-bit computer (I have a 64-bit). The module, which is available in the public domain, is constructed from the text provided online by John Richards, on a web page that is no longer in existence.  His text was in turn a copy of the Syriac Peshitta as published in 1905 by the British and Foreign Bible Society.  WANTED: A SWORD module that works in 64-bit.
