And it is absolutely great: the finest work of economic thinking I’ve ever read. It embraces the whole scope of economics. Although I dislike the concept of compulsory high school education, if we are to have it we’d be better served by a year-long dissection of Human Action than we would by the existence of such things as history classes which teach limp caricatures of history, calculus classes which teach people impossible stuff they’ll never need, or choir or band programs (and I say this as a five-year choirboy.) Of course, Mr. Brenneman’s AP European History class is except from what I said about history classes. Cause that’s an awesome class.
