CVS Pharmacy Inc. has agreed to pay $75 million in fines . . .

Right.  The government just walked up and said, “We don’t like what you’re doing, selling that evil sudafed.”

And CVS said, “Wow.  We’re sorry.  What should we do now?”

And the government said, “Hmm.  Maybe you should pay $75 million in fines.  If you think that’s the right thing to do.  No one’s forcing you to.”

And CVS said, “Hey, thanks, government–that’s a great idea!  We’ll do it.”
